I decided to go out and get some exercise on the in the morning. Also figured that I might catch sight of Nicodemus doing parkour with Emma (Who is Garou. Gee. Nick just seems to attract Shifters like bees to honey, or something.). I was having a complete blast and kept up the flight show for a bit, even after Nicodemus arrived. Eventually, doing flips and dives wore me out, so I took a break and said hello to the Warper. Imagine my surprise when I picked up on the fact that he could understand me as a raven! Neat! It'll make dealing with him a little easier, as I don't always drop in on him to say hello while on two legs. And speaking of human legs, I wandered off and came back using a pair. Nick and I decided to grab some breakfast at Denny's and off we went.


So, on the way to get breakfast I talked to Nicodemus about Spirits for a bit. The topic came up because he'd given me that Magic-Shirt, which seems to be rather like a Talen and has an expiration date. But anyway, I just babbled on about Spirits and eventually we got to the Denny's. I asked Nicodemus about his Mind-Mucking thing and I did get some useful information out of him. Or at the very least, it was interesting information. Seems his Mind-Mucking abilities have gotten a bit of a boost lately, ever since he encountered a Chimera spirit a few weeks back. Which is interesting and odd - at the time he had said that he'd touched it's mind and that it was just plain weird to do so. I did get around to asking Nicodemus what he could do rather directly and his answer was that he really wasn't certain (Neatly avoiding telling me what he knew he could do. *eyeball*), because of the boost he got. Said that he couldn't really figure out what he could do without practice and that he didn't want to practice on people, because he might end up making a boo-boo, which would be bad. 

This is yet another point in his favour as far as I am concerned... He seems to worry about others a lot and how his actions might affect them - which to me means the he is less likely to go on a power-crazed killing spree or something. I mean, there are /stories/ out there.

I offered to help him practice with his Mind-mucking if he wanted (Yes, yes, I know, I'm insane.), so long as he didn't think I'd get fried during a practice session. I rather like my brain cells.

So, while we were eating at the Denny's, the Fox showed up. We ended up talking with Mindspeak for a bit, but dropped that when Nick had to leave to take a call. She seemed a bit more interested in him then I really liked and I asked her to leave him be. I will be /very/ annoyed if I find out that she poked at him after that. The Fox gave me something in an envelope and said that it could be used to spy on someone from a distance. Visual spying, no sound and I promised that I would do what I could with it, when I went back to the Plasticorp building.

Nick came back from his call after that and the Fox left. Unsurprisingly, the Mage wanted a look at the envelope and spent forever just hovering over the thing with his fingertips on top of it. I was tempted to power up Sense the Unnatural, but all it probably would have told me is 'hey look, Magic is about', and that would have been that. So in other words, it would have been useless and might have distracted Nicodemus from whatever it was he was doing. So, I left him alone and focused on finishing my food. 

When Nicodemus was done, we had a pencil and pad convo, as the Fox-Thing was active and it might have been able to allow Rajani to listen in on us. I will be /veryveryveryvery/ upset if she has lied to me about whatever that thing is and it sees /and/ listens. So, I paid for the food in the end, left the Fox-Bauble with Nicodemus so he could poke at it some more and went screaming off to work. Late again. Bah!

I've really pissed off my boss with being late all the time or missing shifts all together - so I'm getting the paperwork punishment. I despise paperwork. I also have two unsolved murders on my desk that are driving me buggy. I can't find any leads and I can't get at the bodies - so I can't see if their last sights will show me anything either.
