val_coraxOOC: Fallen behind in my postings. Catching up is a lost cause, so just posting highlights and gonna try keeping up from here on in.
Well, having someone interested in me is proving to be rather nice... It's also nice to actually have someone who seems to really appreciate the work I do to help out. A kind soul, with a real focus on family. I... I Jumped in to things a little faster than I'd intended too, but it seems to be working out well. At least I'd gotten to the point where I was mostly comfortable with him in my personal space, before inviting myself over one evening.
Kinda blame Riley for jumping in to things a little fast. Her saying that I was full of 'weird self-esteem bullshit' when it came to relationship stuff, kinda cheesed me off. I don't always make the most logical decisions when cheesed off.
Drilled Thomas on what he knew about vampires and came away with some good info:
Seems that the Walkers have a Vampire problem. And a Mole problem... In that someone seems to be feeding the blood suckers information. Bad business all around. I'd make a crack about Vampires being as bad as cockroaches, but Riley would hit me! :) This sort of thing would have sent me in to a frothing fit not all that long ago. Nokivaris was right... My anger and guilt was a weakness. It made me do stupid things. Finding a way to put that behind me, has helped me move on with my life.
I've found two maps so far. One near my home and incomplete, and a far more complete one on a highway billboard just outside the city. Fuck me. Why the hell would someone tag Umbral maps to things? I did find some show prints. Smaller women's sneakers. A 5-6. So, someone young, or small like me. Spotted a trio of overly series tweens in my area a bit after that. Sounded like one of them, the girl, may have had a spraycan on her. Probably nothing, but I know where they live now and will keep an eye on them. Just incase.
Well, I helped arrange for Ila to meet the Gnawers and that went swimmingly. Left was more than willing to consider her Walker Kinfolk and she has been around more openly of late. She seems nice. I like her and she was damn helpful in prepping for the Morocco Trip.
Have to head to Morocco soon. Have a good idea of the customs I'll have to follow and Ill have to watch my mouth, but I think I can pull this off for Laila. Ila did a reading for me and said that I am unlikely to be killed by the locals for bringing a message they don't wanna hear. This makes me happy.
Came across Nick talking with a new face in the park and said hello. She seemed nice enough. But, she twitched when I mentioned Terminus, then twitched again when I dropped a big Glass Walker name. So, I scanned her and what the fuck? She is Magic, but not a Mage? Nick checked later and said she was full of Mind, Spirit, and Life Magic. Dynamic, like him, not Static, like me. Busted in to Naomi's hotel room while she was out... Found some papers that prove what she says she is... Army Special Ops, and that she is on vacation. Hrm. Gonna try some stuff and see if she twitches....
Actually had a Corax drop by and tell me where I could find a Mokole, then I passed that info on to Sewall. He got Thomas to drive him to where the Mokole lived and they both came back in one piece. Seems that the Fetish is in Spiral hands in Santa Fe. Need to get more info out of Sewall. I want the whole story!
Riley and Thomas need to stay the hell away from eachother. Not that I really disagree with Riley on many of her points, but she doesn't know when to shut her yap sometimes. And this is coming from a Corax!

There's two major vampire groups: Sabbat and Camarilla. Sabbat are evil fuckers, kind of like Nephandi or BSDs. Camarilla are "nicer" than the Sabbat, but that counts for piss-all with Vamps.
The Sabbat have two sub-groups: The Tzimisce and the Lasombra. Tzimisce can mold their and other people's faces and bodies. Lasombra seek power for the sake of power and Thomas didn't know much about them.
There's a lot of sub-groups within the Camarilla. Caitiff, which are orphans. Tremere, which are vampire mages. (Nick said they probably use blood magic, like some Mages do.) Brujah, which have a reputation for brawling and frenzying. Malkavians, who are insane and can make others go insane. Gangrel, who're feral and animalistic and might be the source of the legend of vampires turning into wolves and bats. Nosferatu are really ugly, tend to hide in sewers, and are really good at hiding. Toreador are the artistic vampires and fit in to high society well. Ventrue are the nasty political vampires, which Thomas compared to Shadow Lords.
Once a person is turned into a vampire, they're the same group as the vampire that turned them--there's no choice in the matter. (Similar to how a cub is X tribe by birth unless they're lost.) The Caitiff might be like Ronin--vampires who turned their back on their group or who got expelled and no one wanted to take in.
Blood is a big deal with the vampires. They need it to heal and to power their magic. They can also feed people blood to make them loyal servants. Being a Ghoul must suck.
